Rang Bahar formed in 1962 is the first perfoming arts academy of India. Rang Bahar Academy has achieved uprecedented glory in the field of performing arts no only in India but has crossed the Indian boundaries & won gold medals in france in 1987. It has participated in approximately 50 internationaly festivals and has successfully fulfilled the task of presenting the Indian Traditions & Culture in a very good way. It has presented eight National Drama Festivals in Gujarat & won the heart of audience with those Indian Dramas.
Rang Bahar has participated in the Children, Youth, Drama and Folk dance festivals across the globe and had invited German, French and Poland folk dance groups wih co-operation of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, New Delhi.
Now Rangbahar is giving to its Nation ‘Dharti Putra’ which is based on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. It promises to show today’s youth Sardar’s powerful willpower, his great personality & also his love towards the nation.
Rangbahar intends to show about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s childhood in Karamsad, his schooling from Nadiad & his barister degree from England.
His services as the Major of A.M.C. setting up of labour union besides this his important contribution in the national political sector, his responsibilites with the haripura congress & proving to be a good organiser for it, also being a bright meteor of the war of independence & staying in the hearts of all Indian forever, combining various territories & kingdom’s under different rulers into the Indian state & hence proving his spiritual organising strength. With pure intention & promising nationalism Rangbahar wants to bring out the kind of person in Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel to you....through you....to everyone.....by the drama “Dharti Putra”.
