Rang Bahar arranged a seminar with a French ballet group in 1972, enriching the experience in the field of Dance through interactions and sharing of the views.

Rang Bahar has been fortunate enough to be associated and have the blessings of renowned artists like Dada Kondke, Aruna Irani, Jai-Shankar Sundari, Mrinalini Sarabhai, Jashwant Thaker, Ramesh Naik, Kumudini Lakhia, Atul Desai and many others, who have given enormous strength to our institution.

Rang Bahar is aware of the potential of film & Television media to support the performing arts and communications. We have produced Television programmes ‘Maa’, ‘ Soynu Naku’ and a telefilm ‘Prem Sagai’, written by Sarang Barot and acted and directed by Khanjan.

The year 1977 was celebrated as KASHMIRA VARSH, when silver coins of Rang Bahar were distributed as a Souveniur. Some of our folk dance forms performed in many countries over the world are Rass, Hudo, Garba, Bihu, Tippani, Rasdo, Ghughari, Ghummar, Kartal and Rang Bahar has also organised music concerts named SURILI SHAAM during 1975 to 1980 under the leadership of Music Director Manhar Raj, who was acclaimed world over for light music and Ghazals.

In April 1988 Mrs. Dhawani Dave took the leadership of 30 Children and
participated in the International Children Festival at Ankara, Istanbul in
Turkey. The performance won the appreciation from teh whole world for beautiful India costumers, Folk music and choregraphy.

In 1976 a prestigious trophy UPENDRA TRIVEDI VIJAY PADMA also known as the winners Final in Garba Competition was acclaimed by the Institute for 10 years.

Rang Bahar has been organising National Drama Festivals as a regular feature. The first such festival was organised in 1980 in Ahmedabad followed by DADRA NAGAR HAVELI, an inter state cultural exchange performance in 1981.

Having won several trophies, prizes and ranking on the top, Rang Bahar had the pride and privilege when it was called upon to perform folk dances before the dignitories for CHOGM ( Common Wealth Heads of Government Meet) in November 1982 in New Delhi. The then Prime Minister of England, Mrs. Margret Thatcher and others very well appreciated the performance.

Rang Bahar was invited at the International Folk Dance festival of Dijon-France in 1984 and claimed the Silver Medal. This was followed by International Folk Dance Festival Dijon, France where 42 countries participated and Rang Bahar won the Gold Medal in 1987. The group was led by Milan Patel and the Director Choreographer Shilpa Patel.The Soil of Gujarat has always been very rich for its cultural heritage. It has produced many artists, poets, dancers, musicians, singers and dramatists, who have been a source of inspiration for the new generation. Inspite this, most of the young talents often remain unrecognised and undiscovered in the absence of a common and organised a platform.
