Rangbahar is a predominant culture centre not only of Ahmedabad, but it is that of Gujarat also. It has done the pioneer work in the field of Gujarat’s folk dances. The students of Sharda Mandir went to folk festival held at Matha in France in July 1991. In this festival I got the opportunity of meeting and knowing Rajendra Bhagat, who is founder of Rangbahar. The keen observation and tremendous efforts by Rajendrabhai has gone a long way, for making Rangbahar a globle visualisation of Gujarat’s folk activities.
